The Saba Lions Club was chartered on June 6th, 1977, by Lions Club International with the St. Maarten Lions Club as its sponsor. Our motto is: “We Serve”. This means that we selflessly render service to others in need in our local communities. “We” stands for inclusiveness, transparency relative to gender, religion, ethnicity, politics or nationality. Our present membership stands at 30.

Our signature project is the Meals on Wheels program. We provide hot meals five days a week to people who are unable to prepare their own meals. Other annually anticipated projects are the various projects funded by the Oranje Fonds and coordinated by the Saba Lions Club during the Saba Doet annual weekend which is usually the third weekend in March every year. The range of projects are from environmental awareness and clean-ups, elderly pampering and other social activities. This is the single largest volunteer endeavor on the island, whereby community-based projects are carried across the island by various volunteers.
