Helen Davenport

A multi-skilled freelance artist established for 35 years in costumers and the arts with 24 years dedicated to the carnival sector as a designer, producer of large scale costumes featuring the integration of unique artwork within the design.  A creator of 3 Dimensional installations, site specific decor for festivals, props and world class events including “ The Dubai World Cup''. 

 

Showcasing carnival costumes in Nice,Viareggio tourist boards helped to attract thousands of visitors to their annual events. 

 

Extending beyond carnival productions to also include specialised artworks including murals, portraits, screen printing & experimental work using textile & technology as the heart of inspiration. Searching for new ideas is a daily pursuit. Helen is continuously involved in the community sharing skills with workshops for all ages, cultures & abilities.

Helen's workshops will take place at Lambee's Place. Her workshops will take at least 2 sessions to create a Carnival headdress or mask.

Session 1: Saturday, June 15th 9-11am

Session 2: Sunday, June 16th 1-4pm

Session 3: Tuesday, June 18th 9-noon

Session 4: Saturday, June 22nd 9-noon

Saba residents $50/Non-Resident $75 total for 2 sessions
